Beginners
It's easy to be overwhelmed by all the resources and decks (and strong opinions) available. Some say you should start with classic decks, like the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. Others say, as long as you start with a beginner friendly deck, you should choose what resonates with you personally. I say, just start, it's all the fool's journey!
While many guide books that come with the deck are great for each specific card, it would be helpful to have a book to give you broader context. We've curated an instructional tarot book collection here.
NOTE: You will want to double check that your book and deck are from the same tradition. The major systems are Rider-Waite, Thoth, & Marseille. While Lenormand is not directly tarot, I think for many folks it's an excellent place to start!
