Anita Inverarity

Artist Anita Inverarity is a full-time visual artist from Northeast Scotland. She lives with her life partner Phil and two feline friends in a rural farmhouse, which is also a home studio and gallery, near the Banffshire coast. Describing her work as “Universal Folk” in its presentation and aesthetic, she weaves pattern and rich symbolism to create an imaginative new world inspired in part by folk art, myth, and heritage. Tarot has been a constant in her life and has run parallel with her art, and she knew she would create her own deck one day. She deepened her tarot practice when she started exploring its transformational side, using tarot as a tool not just for divination, but for healing work. She finds creating her art to be a meditation, embodying the energy of each card when creating it. Anita has also published The Universal Folk Oracle with U.S. Games Systems.
